The meeting included finalization of a tax assessment, settlement of contracts, a transportation update and recognition of a departing board member.
An update was given by Carrie Olson, Director of Transportation, who reported that the
district is short of school bus drivers. Mechanics and office staff are filling in for absences when there is no regular driver available. Solutions include: combining some routes; lengthening the busing distance from homes to schools (with longer walking times for students) and more.
Louise Hinz was recognized for her service as she leaves the school board.
