Julie Nielson, Superintendent, and Dan Pyan, Director of Finance and Operations of South Washington County School District 833, provided an update on the Nov 7th 2023 Bond and Levy Questions. Bond Question 1 deals with structural safety and security enhancements, expansions and renovations at middle schools and high schools, at a cost of $160 million. Bond Question 2 addresses elementary school space and the addition of a second set of bathrooms at five elementary schools at a cost of $40 million. Question 2 is dependent on the passage of question 1. Question 3 is a technology levy addressing infrastructure, safety and security. If all three questions pass, it would mean a tax increase of approximately nine dollars per month on a median value home of $409,000.
